WHAT WE DO
The Ludus is a Historical Re-enactment Entertainment Group based in South Australia.
Members can learn about the life of Gladiators in years gone by spanning a timeline of Ancient Rome.
The Public can be entertained by displays and realistic weapons and combat.
Schools and Students may use the group in their understanding of History in a fun and entertaining way.
The Ludus welcomes enquiries from people of any age and interest to join and participate in our group.

Essential Tips for trainee Gladiators
The ludus is now registered with the Australian Reenactors Association Inc as a ARA Group (ARAG). This will allow group to take up Public Liability Insurance for the ensuing year. However, new members note that your membership of the ARA is required personally and individually as well as of the new calendar year. Seek guidance on this from the ARA Website members page at http://re-enactors.org.au/Membership-Renewals/ or ask the Lanista.
Safety first at all times. All weapons must be approved by the Lanista and the Doctore. Information on where to buy weapons is in you Welcome Pack. Clothes must look authentic but can be made from modern fabrics.
